The Literary Ninja

Teacher (High School)
I am a high school English teacher in Michigan. I have taught in my current district for sixteen years. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English from Michigan State University, and I earned my Master of Arts in English from Northern Michigan University. My husband of fourteen years is a high school social studies teacher, and we have three children of our own to keep us busy outside of school hours. Our children are high-energy boys who are seven, nine, and eleven. In our spare time, we all practice Tang Soo Do karate, and we are well on our way to earning our black belts. We are currently all red belts, the last color before black belt in the Tang Soo Do system. I also play flute in the local community band. I started playing when I was eleven years old and have continued throughout the various stages of my life. I have been a member of the community band for twelve years. As a family, we also enjoy traveling during the summer months. We have camped at numerous national parks throughout the country. We are always looking forward to our next adventure!
