Twitter grid with 140 character boxes and steps to follow to write a tweet. It can be used as a formative assessment when asking kids to define a concept or synthesize information. I have found it to be quite rigorous, as it makes the kids really think about the concepts learned and explain them in a concise but meaningful way.
It may be used across the curriculum, and I find it very efficient when I emphasize spelling, grammar, and writing concise thoughts not matter what the subject is.
These could be used as templates and then published in a sentences strip with its final version. The possibilities are endless!
